We’ve Heard the Hype and What Follows Are the Problems

We’ve been watching and waiting with anticipation, standing in line for hours and even days. The iPhone 3G and all it’s glory has been the talk of the Internet for a while now. After reading blogs, social networking sites – Twitter to be exact and following Jake Marsh in his live stream while in line last night in front of an Apple store in Dallas, Texas it seems that the great hype over the phone has somewhat come to an end and the problems are starting to be announced blasted like a wild fire around the Internet (one example – see Tuaw’s article here).

It appears that Apple’s iPhone 2.0 update is failing for many. The reason? According to Matt Asay from CNET, “Apple’s servers are apparently being dismantled by heavy traffic.” Ouch. But this is all a part of the game that we play when we allow the hype to get the best of us, right?

I decided to check out the Apple discussion forum after reading the article on Tuaw.com, only to be greeted with:

How many of you have experienced this so far? Have you had any other issues aside from the failed update or were you one of the lucky ones who didn’t have a problem at all?
