Latency Kills at Game Developers Conference

Latency Kills GDC A Latency Kills GDC B

Latency Kills GDC C Latency Kills GDC D

PEER 1 and ServerBeach have a booth at the Game Developer’s Conference (GDC) in San Francisco CA today. The expo started yesterday and ends tomorrow. Over 12,500 people are expected to walk through the event. Our “Latency Kills” campaign has been a big hit! We’ve given away 500 t-shirts and 1,000 bumper stickers, and applied countless tattoos (temporary of course) on some very interesting places. The gaming community made up of developers, publishers and gamers are all concerned with network speed and reliability in delivering a seamless experience online. Especially with the growing popularity of massive multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs) like World of Warcraft and EverQuest II.

We’re demonstrating how PEER 1’s reliable and rock-solid network infrastructure is the best place to develop, publish and launch games on. Users of the network already know about its reputation for low latency, fewest hops and zero packet loss. And we have a variety of hosting solutions including self-managed, managed, and co-location hosting. If you are in the area or are at GDC (or know a friend), stop by our booth #157 to get a free t-shirt and to enter to win one of two iPod. The first drawing is at 3pm PST today and 2pm PST tomorrow. You can see some more pics here from last year’s gaming shows.
